Texas FBLA Local Advisors,
Recently, the FBLA National office set up a disaster relief fund for FBLA members and chapters that were affected by the recent natural disasters in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Thousands of FBLA members have been strongly affected by these disasters and many have requested funding from the national office to help them in their quest to restore normality. The people of Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean are strong and resilient people, but it’s time that we lend a helping hand.
Currently, we have over 30 schools requesting funding for Disaster Relief; however, as of today, we have a little over $1,000 in the fund. If your team has not already done so, I challenge your local chapter to sponsor a school in need and donate $25-$50 collectively to the disaster relief fund. Work with local businesses and community members to raise money and show that through comradery and compassion, FBLA members can truly make a difference in this nation.
Please email me to let me know if you accept or decline this challenge.
All the Best,
Ryan James Solis, Mountain Plains Region Vice President
