Virtual Chapter membership is available to all Texas high-school-aged students whose private school, home school, or public school does not have an FBLA chapter.
Joining the Texas FBLA Virtual Chapter allows you participate in the area, state and national conferences, programs, and competitive events. You will be able to travel and connect with many people around the state and country!
To join, complete the following application and send it and a check for $15 ($6 national, $6 state, and $3 Virtual chapter dues) made out to FBLA-PBL, Inc. to the State Adviser, D’Ann Matlock, at 3720 Prairie Lea Rd., Kingsbury, Texas 78638 (email@example.com). She will register you as a member and forward your dues to the national office.
The State Adviser will communicate with Virtual Chapter members via e-mail.
We will be using the National Award Program for our Competitive Events. Go to www.FBLA-PBL.org and the FBLA Competitive Events page (http://www.fbla-pbl.org/fbla/competitive-events/) to find the current event guidelines and rating sheets so that you can successfully enter an event. Watch this website for the SLC Registration Packet published in early January for SLC information.
A parent should sign up for the Texas FBLA ListServe (Adviser’s tab at FBLATX.org) so that you will receive emails containing information you will need as a member.
It is the responsibility of the Virtual member to ascertain the dates of meetings, the registration deadlines, and all applicable rules.
Texas FBLA requires an adviser/adult travel with students and be present at a conference to help administer events or grade, so a parent or another adult will need to accompany the virtual student member to every conference. Texas FBLA staff may not serve as chaperones.
Fill out the application below and mail to the State Adviser. If you have any questions please email the State Adviser, D’Ann Matlock.
